AOÛT 2023 IMMERSIVE RETREAT
It was one of the best experiences I had in my life. I always wanted to delve into the French culture and learn more about the world from that perspective. This is the perfect chance for you to do so in the best possible way. Eugenie, she is the kindest and the most awesome person, not to mention her amazing teaching skills! She made me feel like home and she was always patient and willing for me to get used to speaking French. She always encouraged everyone to participate in all the discussions. My favorite part from these days was cooking with her. She knows her recipes too well. Everything we tried was out of this earth. She will change your perception of French cuisine. All the products were super fresh, collected from the area. I love that. We also had a chance to do some amazing activities and visit the local village with all its beauty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone learning French. It was a perfect combination of theory, practice and rest!

I just returned from an intensive course in Le Perche. I spoke French from dawn to dusk. Great setting for full immersion in French language, culture, food and nature. Eugenie offers great hospitality and the course offers a great combination of formal course work and conversation opportunities while walking in the forest, pottery, cycling and create presentations on subjects that you are passionate about, study or work. Then discuss these in French with your fellow students over lunch, dinner, an aperatif created with the great food the Perche region has to offer. Did I mention we spoke a lot of French? I would like to thank Eugenie for the great couple of days of learning and hospitality and my fellow students for great conversations.

“ I am just back from what was a truly magical four day language retreat in le Perche, France with Eugenie. I arrived with some trepidation as I was worried that my sketchy french language skills might not match up to the other guests but Eugenie ensured that all the participants were of a similar level. And what started with everyone being a little shy, ended in hilarity and a huge sense of comradeship. I left with far more confidence in my spoken french and with a renewed sense of purpose in getting to the next level. The food on the retreat was incredible and the activities varied and interesting. I especially enjoyed shopping at the Saturday market and cycling through the forest. Thank you Eugenie for a wonderful and instructive few days.”

I'd very much like to leave a review of the wonderful retreat I took part in in Normandy, in the very typical little village of Le Perche. I spent three days of complete and comfortable immersion in the French language, cuisine and way of life in a wonderful environment of nature, Normandy forests and of course surrounded by extraordinary people with whom we spent wonderful moments of camaraderie. Eugénie welcomed us into the peaceful and very warm, traditional and welcoming atmosphere of her estate in the middle of woods and fields! I discovered and loved this region through cycling, the forest, visits to nearby towns and a visit to a real local market with delicious regional gourmet and natural products, which we were able to fully appreciate thanks to the culinary talents and skills of the hostess! The energy and atmosphere of the house gave me four wonderful nights of deep, restful sleep without a care in the world. Eugénie's professionalism and quality of teaching allowed me to miraculously identify and correct in the shortest possible time pronunciation and articulation problems that I thought were already permanently fixed on me due to my accumulated habits during my twenty years in France - it's AMAZING 🔥
For me, the retreat is the best option for improving my level of French and correcting as quickly as possible the shortcomings that prevent us from expressing ourselves more freely in this beautiful, romantic language full of charm ❤️ ".
